About the event
With her new book of photography and writings, Like we could almost live forever, Carlotta Guerra (b. 1976) invites us on a poetic journey across continents and oceans—from her birthplace in Emilia-Romagna, Italy, to her current home in Southern California. Arranged in a lyrical sequence and interwoven with handwritten passages drawn from her journals, Guerra’s intimate images capture fleeting memories, impressions, and emotions that evoke a poignant awareness of life’s impermanence, while also reminding us to embrace its fullness.
About Carlotta Guerra
Originally from Italy, Carlotta Guerra studied contemporary art and cinema at the University of Bologna. Over the years, she worked as assistant curator and events producer for contemporary art museums and venues, both in Italy and internationally. In 2013, she moved to Amsterdam, where her lifelong passion for photography led her to graduate with a degree in photography in 2018. Guerra is currently based in Los Angeles, California,…
