About the event
Join us for a conversation with artist Paulin Paris on March 14, presented in conjunction with his current solo exhibition The First Garden. The discussion will be moderated by Sabine Paris and Stefan Mattessich, and will explore themes central to the artist’s practice, including the presence of nature and the notion of consciousness.
The event will also mark the launch of The First Garden zine, which includes an original text by French writer Thierry Grillet.

Paulin Paris
Paulin Paris is a French-born artist based in California since 2000. His practice explores the relationship between art, nature, and consciousness through painting, pattern, and surface. His ongoing “Tapis de feuilles” series draws inspiration from the forest floor, where scattered leaves form rhythmic fields that invite reflection on perception and the natural world.
