Lu Jie (b. 1995) is a ceramic artist born and based in Shantou, China. She began teaching herself ceramics in 2017 and founded it doesn’t matter studio in 2021.
 
“I grew up in a small coastal city where art was rarely part of everyday life. Images and books became my windows onto the wider world, gradually shaping my visual sensibility and the way I look at things. Even now, I find myself returning to the things that catch my eye and stay with me, remaking them in clay.”
